10th European Development Fund

The tenth EDF commenced on 1 January 2008. New Country and Regional Strategy Papers (CSPs/RSPs) were developed by the ACP countries and signed in the first quarter of 2007 for implementation to start on 1 January 2008.

Poverty reduction in the context of sustainable development is the main objective of the Fund, in cooperation with the ACP partners. The EDF provides grants to national and multinational programmes decided in agreement between the EU and the beneficiary State which support the achievement of the country’s National Indicative Programme (NIP).
